Dr. Melinda Furrer,
DNP, RN, CENP
Melinda brings over 17 years of experience to her nursing practice. Her nursing practice has consisted of transformational leadership, working within organizational educations as a Professional Development Specialist, and educator at the ADN, BSN, and Graduate levels of Nursing education. Melinda took the opportunity during her doctoral studies to concentrate on the effects of moral distress on new resident nurses. Developing pathways on how to build moral courage and self-resiliency became a passion for her work. She brings these passions to lectures, resident programs, and all clinical students she encounters. Melinda has presented her work and ideas on how to build resiliency and learn how to thrive within healthcare to faculty members, healthcare professionals and numerous new graduate nurses.
